    Tim,

I happened upon your website/blog today, and enjoyed everything I’ve read. I especially like the video tutorial you did on Form Creation/Workflow. With that in mind, would you mind answering a question?

I’m updating our companies Time & Expense forms, and recreating them using LiveCycle Designer 7.0. So in my Timesheet form I’m trying to create a field that will display the last day of a pay period, yet populate my Mon-Fri days with a Date Field based on the above criteria. Can Adobe do this? If show can you show me?

    Tim,

More video tutorials…! I used you’re Workflow demo to do the same thing with my son’s soccer registration forms.

    Thanks,

i have used acrobat professional 6.0 for a while, probably on a very elemental level, compared to anyone here. but i would like to learn more about it generally and am considering upgrading to professional 8.0. with apologies for my ignorance, i have a very pedestrian question for someone. i like the advanced editing capability that 6.0 has. does 8.0 also offer that feature? thank you.

    Hi Tim

I have been looking for a (the) 3D
guy @ acrobat and it would seem to
be you. My work is in the repoduction

I have asked in the past if Adobe are
to produce a 3D SW package for scene building via the internet ? are they.

    Hi Tim!

Thanks for all of the helpful information! I attended one of your Adobe Webcasts a month or so ago, and I have a question for you. I understood the lesson you gave on creating forms and then distributing them. But what if my organization wants to create a form and post it to our Web site for people to download and complete, then mail back? Is there no way to do that? Must it be distributed via e-mail by me, the document/form creator?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this matter.

    Liz

    Yes this can be done:

when you create the form it asks you if you want to distribute now or save for later, check save for later, go through the work flow, then post on your web site, everytime someone hits submit, the form will go to the corect person and it will add itself to the repository.

    I hope that helps

Hi Tim: Your help is great. I have a problem with my Acrobat file in that when I try to go onto my Chase Bank website, it pops up with the message “The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser. Please exit Adoe Acrobat Reader and try again”…..then I try again, and I get “There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please ext Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try again.” This will go on for three or four times, then it will connect with my Chase website. I am using Microsoft Windows XP, and Explorer as my browser. I have tried to uninstall the reader program and my Acrobat program and re-install, but this does not help. The Chase site is not the only site that I am having trouble with, so I think it is my system….and frankly I am a Clueless computer user. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Tim,
I attended one of your webcasts awhile back for creating forms and I’ve been handling most of it pretty good as a newbie to Adobe Accrobat Professional and the LiveCycle. I am strugling to figure out how to link two check boxes together so that if someone checks ‘yes’ then they can’t also check ‘no’ this is probably easy but I can’t figure it out could you help me?

Hi Tim.. I enjoyed reading your blog. Very cool layout. I am anxious to see how Adobe 3D can be leveraged to share Simulation (CFD) results among non-technical people. Has anyone requested this functionality?

    Hi Tim,

I just watched your video on creating forms with InDesign and Acrobat. Very helpful - up until now i had been creating my forms in InDesign and exporting them to .pdf, then editing them in LiveCycle to create interactive fields. Now I now that I can do the same thing right from within Acrobat.

My question then is, are there still any advantages to editing/creating a form in LiveCycle versus from within Acrobat?

    Thank you much!
